Meet Henry, the beloved mini donkey of Pole Creek Ranch. From greeting wedding guests to going viral on Instagram, learn why couples and guests can’t stop talking about him.

At Pole Creek Ranch, your wedding is more than a single setting—it’s a full landscape. From pine forests to open fields and rustic ranch spaces like Elkatraz, couples have the freedom to create a wedding weekend that flows naturally and a photography experience that captures every moment along the way.

Some weddings are full weekends—bonfires, long tables, everyone you love in one place. We see those here all the time, and they’re beautiful. But not every celebration needs a crowd. Sometimes it’s ten people, a few bottles of champagne, and the right place to stand when the vows are said.

Some love stories feel meant to be, and for this couple, every step led them to their wedding day at Pole Creek Ranch.

There’s something undeniably magical about fall in Central Oregon. The crisp air, golden light, and vibrant foliage create the perfect setting for a wedding that feels both intimate and breathtaking. For one recent couple, Pole Creek Ranch wasn’t just a venue—it was part of their love story from the very beginning.

Originally, the space served as an elk corral, a place where majestic elk were managed and cared for. The name “Elkatraz” reflects this history with a playful nod to the venue's origins.
